Exciting updates leading up to the park events!

This year, the council took ownership of the events, bringing extra support and a focus on sustainability. Here’s a look at how we got here and made it all happen.

What a summer to remember!

Our busiest park events yet – at Mercer Park, Milnshaw Park & Lowerfold Park – were full of energy, laughter, and community spirit! Hyndburn’s people came out in force, making the most of our beautiful parks and all the fun on offer.

Activities included:

Learning to ride a bike
Dancing and moving to the music
Climbing walls
Making pizza
Relaxing and enjoying the sunshine

It was amazing to see everyone enjoying the outdoors, trying new things, and celebrating Hyndburn’s parks and community. Thanks to all who joined in and made it unforgettable!

We had an amazing summer in 2024 with three back-to-back events in the park!

These events brought families together, encouraged everyone to get active, and provided an opportunity to explore their local park. Highlights included free bike repairs for kids, many learning to ride for the first time, exciting new activities like bug hunting, and so much more!
