Leisure

Grade: SCP 20 – £33,673FT PER ANNUM (pro rata)

Job purpose:

To deliver safe, engaging and high-quality swimming lessons that build confidence, develop aquatic skills and promote lifelong participation. The Swimming Teacher delivers lessons in line with the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework, supports learner progression, promotes water safety and creates an inclusive
learning environment.

There is no closing date for this role.

Working Hours:
Variable hours will be available across weekday evenings (4:00pm–7:00pm), Saturdays (10:00am–1:00pm), and Sundays (8:00am–11:00am).

Responsible to: Venue Duty Manager
Manages: Other employees within the Trust, partners and members of the public

Job purpose:

  1. To build positive and effective relationships with customers, partners and colleagues
  2. To assist in the delivery of high-quality events
  3. To assist in setting up equipment for events and activities 
  4. To assist effective stock management processes
  5. To prepare, take orders and serve food & beverages 
  6. To clean bar and public areas before, during and after events
  7. To assist in maintaining the correct standard of hygiene
  8. To observe the correct implementation of licensing laws
  9. To ensure both opening and closing checklists are completed
  10. To ensure till and cash handling is in accordance with financial procedures shown in training 
  11. To operate in accordance with the Trust’s compliance policies relating to Health and safety, Equal opportunities and customer care
  12. To undertake the duties, as required by the line manager or the Head of Service and any other duties, which may from time to time be requested
