Let’s cycle! 

 

🚴‍♀️ An active and easy way to keep fit is via cycling – proven to improve cardiovascular fitness & to decrease stress!

River Calder View @ Whalley – Moor Lane descent from Great Harwood: This route is approximately 32 miles, and takes around 3 hours and 20 minutes – It requires a very good level of fitness and is suitable for all skill types.

River Calder View @ Whalley Loop from Rishton: This route is slightly longer, taking just short of 40 miles and 4 hours – It requires a very good level of fitness and is suitable for all skill types.

Greenway Cycle Path – Newchurch tunnels loop from Accrington: This is a great circular route, measuring exactly 25 miles, taking approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes – A very good fitness level is needed, and the route may require you to push your bike.

Bike Loop from Accrington: This is an easy bike ride, suitable for any level of fitness and any skill type, measuring 13 miles and taking, on average, 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Kings Highway Loop from Baxenden: This is an intermediate bike ride, measuring just over 8.5 miles, taking approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It does include small amounts where you would be required to push your bike.

L2L Towpath Loop from Church & Oswaldtwistle: This is an intermediate bike ride, with beautiful views along the way – It measures around 23 miles, on average taking 2 and a half hours.
