Hyndburn Leisure November Update

Due to the government’s recent announcement, it is with a heavy heart, that effective from Thursday 5th November we are temporarily closing Hyndburn Leisure Centre and Wilson’s Athletics Pavillion and extending closure for our other facilities; Mercer Hall Leisure Centre, Accrington Town Hall, Hyndburn Academy (Norden Gym Membership), Clayton Civic Hall, West End Community Centre and Bank Mill House.
Fitness Memberships will be frozen automatically and will not be reinstated until our doors reopen. Our 1st November Direct Debit payment file has already been processed at the bank. We aim to refund this payment within 7 days. Please do not cancel your direct debit at the bank, as this will complicate the process of getting you a refund within this timescale.
All existing bookings will be given priority to re-book for a later date when we reopen.
Swimming and Gymnastics class payments will also be frozen automatically. Customers who have paid in full for their block booking and direct debits will be guaranteed their place when we resume classes.
We are pleased to confirm that our Up & Active programmes have already been redesigned and will be delivered via social media channels and digital platforms to continue to encourage healthy behaviours and reduce social isolation.
In addition, to help to keep our members motivated and healthy at home we are excited to announce the launch of our Technogym My Wellness App.
The App will provide access to classes from your favourite instructors and an additional 100 on-demand classes. It also includes challenges and allows you to track your outdoor activities. More information on the App launch will follow soon, so please keep an eye out on our social pages.
We would like to reassure all our customers that we will do everything necessary to work through this and we really look forward to reopening our facilities and services, as soon as government advice and public health allows.
We can’t thank you enough for supporting our charitable trust. As a Hyndburn-based charity, we are committed to keeping our community strong and connected during this difficult time.
