What is Business Health Matters?
Business Health Matters is a ground-breaking programme that aims to build a healthier workforce across Lancashire.
The first of its kind in the country, the Business Health Matters programme supports local businesses in improving the physical and mental health of their employees so that staff are happier, healthier and more resilient.
Workplace Health Champion Training
The ESF-funded project will deliver free basic skills training, level 2 and level 3 Workplace Health Champion qualifications to employees in SME’s across Lancashire, empowering them with tools, resources and guidance to drive positive change in their organisation.
As a result, a community of upskilled and passionate Workplace Health Champions will work collaboratively with our delivery partners and each other to continue to inspire and motivate their colleagues to live happier, healthier lives.
Workplace Health Screening
The ground-breaking Workplace Health Screening project targets businesses with employees aged 50+ and SMEs that experience lower levels of productivity as a result of poor employee health.
Delivered by qualified health & fitness activators, this unique screening service brings together expertise from specialist partners, including a physical screening tool developed by UCLAN School of Medicine and a mental health aspect supported by Lancashire Mind, to identify conditions which can lead to poor health in later life.
Based on the outcomes of the screenings, businesses are then offered tailored interventions so that they can support their employees in improving their overall wellbeing and benefit from a more resilient workforce.
